Came thru Eureka yesterday evening, stopped at the gravel pit. wind had been thru and taken away some of the snow maybe 2" general covering. Was snowing, snow got heavier the farther East you go, as does the coverage

Maybe someone who knows the lodge owners could suggest they update their website once a week or so (trail conditions, snowfall, specials, etc). Last year the site was updated twice, that doesn't do much for business. I know when we go up there, we make sure and eat our meals in the lodge and buy gas whether we need it or not to help keep them in business. Updating their website would help keep their lot full!

Lets assume they only update it after big storms come thru, that would explain why it was only updated twice last year. They have gotten skunked two years in a row out there.

I personally have had good luck when I call them and ask about weather/snow conditions. HOWEVER, they aren't the weather service, 80% of their winter customers are sledders... gotta kind of expect a slightly biased report.

I agree with you guys 100% though, keeping the webpage up to date would be in their best interest.

Speaking of the weather service, we need this high pressure system to pass so we can get more snow... its like crack, you can never get enough.

Cmon now really? Does Cantwell, Petersville, Lost Lakes or Turny have a website? ;) You go where the snow is :D and what you hear from your friends not by a what is on someones website. The website is an added bonus but not the end all be all.

Do those locations have lodges that snowmachiners support or nothing more than a parking lot? Petersville has Kenny Creek Lodge in the area, they update the weather and snowfall on a regular basis http://www.kennycreeklodge.com/ I just think that Eureka could draw more winter business if they kept their website updated...not a requirement, just a suggestion. I like going up there and would hate to see another lodge/roadhouse fade away.

This depends on who you talk to. :)

I'm not disagreeing with you on the website, but with todays technology I think that word of mouth is quicker and a more reliable source than a website would be especially with the vastness of these areas. The snow at the Lodge might suck but 10 - 20 miles to the N, E, S, or W it could be epic conditions. :D (I sure hope that is the case this year!) We all ride with some great people who love to share what the conditions are, no matter where we ride, there is always a report of the snow conditions. :)

The Fimples have put a lot of their lifes's time, effort and money into that Lodge and I believe that it's not going to fade away anytime soon.

So LET THE SNOW FALL and LET IT BE DEEP!! :D
