Hey all, wondering how eureka is right now. whats the conditions? I just almost finished fixing my sled.

hey vance, we quit going the last weekend of april..was down to less then 4 inches of snow at the road...Ice on the little nelchina was just starting to fall in, snow was decent up high(5000ft +) in the afternoons but south slopes were getting real thin and the snow was rock hard in the am....just didn't get the snow this year...normally riding is good till this weekend and then gets crappy fast after the first weekend of may....
Last Friday
Three of us rode Eureka last Friday. Started a few miles beyond the lodge in the gravel pit. Had to bust a fair amount of willow tops. The snow up high was good and deep enough to get stuck in (several times). It has been real warm and the snow won't last long.

buddy of mine was there on Saturday. Said the snow is melting really fast and it would truly be a waste on gas to go ride sleds. He was riding his 08 Outty 500XT and didnt come cross much snow a little ways past Eureka. so, another words its not worth it i would guess. bummer.
snow is in cantwell buddy.
Where do you ride in Cantwell?
a few freinds of mine said the snow is around mile 188.
