ethenol blend in a turbo?

Every station now has a 10% ethanol blend in the pumps. Can I run this in my turbo nytro?

What is the max boost i can run on pump gas at 3-6k ft with a headshim?

I don't know about the ethenol, but we ride in Alaska at 3k to 6k in elevation and I don't go past 12 lbs on pump gas with a headshim. I almost always run av gas but a guy I rode with all winter ran 12 lbs on pump with a headshim and had no problems.

be careful with ethanol it will ignite at a much lower temp than race gas or unleaded. if you have a choice stay away from it or blend it off to get to better gas . it could be a head lifting experience.

i asked this earlier this year and most had said, no prob run it.

being gas in the city or along the freeway, is much cheaper (typically) and probably better (hasn't been sitting for days), I've run the 10% eth pump in mine at 12# (@ 8k ft +)

ak nitro, are you running, or the guy u know, running the Impulse @ 12#s at 3-6k ft on 91 octane pump?

Paul said i was plenty safe at 12#s at my elevation (8k +) ..but didn't know THAT safe! :D hmm...

Sawyer Try to find a airline where you can run 100ll av gas you will be better off running that and playing it safe and the cost is not much more. As far as running pump fuel with the % of ethanol. From what ive learned you will be fine. But you got to keep the boost down.My opinion @ 3000 to 6000 feet with pump gas and being safe is 10 pounds, others will say you can run more but i wouldn't.Thats your call. Low boost will get lame once you turn it up a few times, the power is right there by turning a nob its to easy not to. Look into the 100ll anyway. What kit did you end up getting?

yeah av gas is a way safer option than pump gas . and its cheep too its the same price per littre in alberta as 91 is in B.C now . its a bit of a pain to carry the jerry cans some times though if youre just using a sled deck . does any one know about the boat gas in B.C ? i saw it in a few places this summer do they keep it around in the winter too?
