Ethanol wires

so my sled is a 07 d7 with a 10 800. i have looked everywhere for thge "pink and black/blue" wires that you un plug to burn ethanol fuel. from what i have read the 07 did not have these wires, but i am guessing that they would have had to change the wire harness to put in the 800 so there should be wires right? tryin to figure out why this thing is running so rich

the wires on my sled are above (closer to seat side) the ECU, buried under the plastic around the bulkhead.
good luck finding them.

I have looked everywhere. Could they not be there ? Could te 800 run on a 700 harness ?

The only pink wire in the harness goes to the diag plug up by the hood hinge

So I've been doing a lot of searching and digging and have come to the conclusion that it still has the 700 harness. Where the pink wire should be on the ecu plug is blank. But the ecu does have a pin in that location. So if I'm thinking right with no wire in that location the ecu is always in ethanol mode. Right?

Hey guys,
The ethanol wires on my 700 are at the top (as in the back closest to your knee) of the belt guard, if I open my hood they are in that space behind the plastic part of the spare belt holder, just a female and 2 male wire plugs, one for ethanol and for non, there is also an unused plug their.

The spot in my ecu plug is blank where the pink wire should be. The 07 700 doesn't have the ethanol wire

You are correct 2007 700 dragons have no plugs. At the time of the 07 they did not have a problem yet with ethanol so Polaris did not put them in the wiring harness.

So do you think that I can add a wire to the plug so I can get it out of ethanol mode?

2007 did not have that option so you don't have to worry about it. If you really want that option take you ecm to your Polaris dealer and have it flashed to an 2008 then pickup an 08 wiring harness and add the wires or put the whole harness on.

My sled has a 2010 800 with a 800 ecu so it should have that option in the ecu

What year ecu??? Get the manuals out and compare harness to harness. If ya want to wire in the pink wire just add it, what's the worst that could happen ? ? ?
