Ethanol plug?

I have a 2012 Pro 800 with stage II SLP installed. My main sledding area is 8000 to 10000 feet. I was told that at that altitude I could run the non Ethanol plug since the controller runs rich. I tried it yesterday and saw a 300 RPM increase in performance and no negative results except a little more fuel usage. My question what is what happens if you run it that way all the time? What should I look for? Thanks for the information.

I have a stage IV kit done by Carl's Cycle. I ride at 9000-11000. I run mine that way all the time. By running the nonethonal plug, you are running it about 5% leaner that if you had the Ethanol plug in. Just watch for your det light to come on. As long as it doen't you are fine. If you drop to 6000ft, switch it around to be safe

where is this resistor located and how do u change it?

On the 13, the eth/non-eth setting is changed on the instrument cluster:

With the engine running and the brake on press the set/select button until "fuel" is displayed, then press and hold the set/select button to switch fuel types.
