Ethanol Fuel vs Non-Ethanol Fuel

As we all know, non-ethanol fuel is getting more and more difficult to find now days than it was a few years ago. We've all read what ethanol can/will do to your sled over a period of time. My main question is: What is everyone doing/adding to Ethanol treated fuel to help prevent these issues? Is there one additive that works better than the other? Just looking for your opinion to what is the best solution to running ethanol treated fuel when you can't find non-ethanol treated fuel.

I bet 100ll is close to the same price. Is that bad on the engine?

We only put non e in our sleds 2010, 2009, and 2012 summit X sleds. When we run ethanol you can hear it misfiring on a long side hill with ehaust up in the air. !!!!

I just avoid the mid range for any length of time on cold days if I had to fill up with E-10. My sleds carbed, so on the cold days the E-10 leans it out just enough to make it want to deto in the midrange (the hot spot on BB800 poos timing). Otherwise I don't have any issues with it. Just drain the carbs and tank at the end of the season. Once in a while I run a little Heat in the gas during the season.

I HATE ethanol fuel, and I am not a hater. First had problems in my generator, the eth gas would go so bad it wouldn't run without the choke on after only a few weeks. Took me forever to figure out is was the ethanol. We have high humidity in the NW and eth just sucks up water. I think it's really bad for high perf 2 strokes especially. See the above post. Deto is THE killer of high perf 2 strokes. I am lucky that there are two places I can buy non eth 92 close to my house. I started to run it in my truck and I am getting 10% better mileage(on the computer and just doing the calc with miles and gallons) and better power(just by feel). I have gotten anal about not running it in my sleds or any small engines. Or my Evo 9 MR. Or truck.

So is everyone using a "additive" to help reduce the risks that ethanol brings to our sleds? If so, which one and have you had success with them (can tell a difference between running additive vs no additive)?
