Erratic fuel pressure

I got a 2011pg ovs m8 , I'm usin a external fuel pressure reg with a stock pump, my fuel psi is all over the place from 38-42 psi, making it impossible to tune. Any suggestions , I've had to max out the pl box to keep my afrs down and at best 13.5 at wot. My elevation is 4000"

My OVS m1000 was doing the samething. Turned out to be a pin hole in the fuel pressure regulator.

the bdx internal tank regulator is a darn good regulator..holds and adjusts excellent

i had a ovs in tank reg and removed it because the psi was sticking to high, so i just installed a brand new msd reg, , but even aftrer i shut it down the psi will still hold between 10 and 20 psi, so i dont think thetes a hole anywhere.

My ovs 1000 did the same thing, and I need to keep throwing fuel at it. I bet if you watch your fuel pressure as you get into the throttle the pressure is not coming up like it should, and may be dropping off.

Get a new fuel pressure regulator.

i think i got it figured out, i didnt hav a air temp bypass installed, sno was getting on sensor and messin up the mapping , trav says 22,000 resistance needed
