Ergo's for a short rider?

Hey all,

I'm a short guy, 5'3" and am wondering if anyone has setup tips for short guy on an mountain sled? Should the bars be forward to pull my weight further towards the front, or should the be back to allow an easier standing position without having to stretch my arms out too much? Should the bars be lower since I'm shorter, or taller so I have more leverage? Should I narrow the bars since my reach is shorter than the average rider?

Any advice to help with setup?

Kind regards,

Set it up to how you feel it is comfortable, try it different ways. My '04 Escape was about perfect for me and I'm 5'4"! My X2 is converted a bit, bars could use an inch of rise though and bars narrowed a bit after installing 45* hooks. Which sled do you have? Preference on how it feels to you is the key to better riding. No one elses ergoes or how it feels will match your's.

Thanks Marv1. I'm sure you are right. I'm new to sledding and thought any tips to help get me in the right neighborhood sooner would be helpful.

I'm riding a 2007 Ski Doo 800 Rev X 159

Suggestion.
Hop on and grab the bars. have someone loosen the bolts and move the bars till they feel "right" and you are in a comfortable standing position, then have them tighten it back up.
Test ride that and see if you like it. If not, you have a frame of reference to change it.
