Enny 250f snowbike riders here?

Is there enny 250f snowbike riders here? I cant find enny videos of 250f snowbikes on youtube. :) I got a yz250f 2013 that i'm planing on making snowbike kit for. Does a 250f got enough power to climbe hills and hit som jumpes?
What gearing are you using (engine sprocket, and sprockets on the snowbike kit)?

I would say if you have snow that is set up.... Once you get to the deeper powder it might be an issue...nit also depends on you weight...

straight 250F

My .02. I wouldn't hesitate to put a kit on a 250f, even at elevation. We are building a 250F demo bike this year, and it will change the game for alot of people who already own 250F's, that don't want to buy a "big bore". For the guy who understands the limitations of smaller displacement machines, (think 600cc PRO RMK or equivalent) its gonna be a riot. The whole gotta have 60 HP thing is BS and you will see several 1/4 litre bikes running kits in the near future.

Nice I'm going to make a timbersled inspired snowbike kit with ez ryde inspired suspension:)
What snowbike kit are you putting on your 250f demo bike? Will you upload some video of it in action when its done?? :pop2:
My 250f got 37hp now when its stock I'm going to try and get 45hp out of it (on the back wheel not the track).
Then I might do a dyno test on it with the track on it to see how much power it has:)

this is great news to me... I've been hesitant to pull the plug and order a 2015 ST setup for my 390 Husaberg.

but now i'm gonna go for it! We have mostly flatland type riding here in newfoundland canada with alot of trail riding.

I think the 390 will do great for this type of snow/terrain and look forward to the build!

woohoo!

I talked to a guy a Owens cycle in Yakima WA who has been running a modified yz250f with a track for years. Said it works great.

I saw pictures of a yz250fx that a place in Kalispell has a ST set up on. I think the company was Penco Power Products or one of the people that worked there. Seemed to sound like with a lighter person would work on one, I think their high revving motors will help them out if you were to do it.

isn't that like taking a knife to a gunn fight :face-icon-small-ton could be done but not the smartest move:face-icon-small-con never had a snowbike where I thought this thing has to much power :face-icon-small-win the oldest most beat up 450 worth 2000 dollars will still be more powerful than a totaly tricked out 250f with $3000 of motor mods to it , probably last longer to:behindsofa:

Luckily I got a old 600cc 4 stroke just in case my 250f don't have enough power ;)

Might be better off selling the 250f and buying a YZ250 2 stroke, lots of those around for cheap, could probably trade straight across unless you have a reason to keep the 250f ie racing or....
