took my 04 pro xr 800 out today for a day skipping water behind my house, warming sled up running it back back and forth the river bank it shut down stuck dont know if it was piston or crank bearings,i ended up yanking on pull cord freeing it put some oil in er and went skipping water for bout a hour and an awfull sound comming from clutch crank side,with that said im probably done with this motor,what is good FULL replacment motor PSI Carls or do i need a good crank case and they mod it hit me with suggestions,im about 500 to 1500 ft above sea lvl,thanks scott

Crank pin is broken almost for sure.
You need a few good parts to start with to build a motor.
At your altitude you'll have to be careful with big bores and such so you don't have DET issues.
I'd find another 800, maybe with porting, to put in it.
