Engine light is on??? ?

06 Rev 800, started it up today to move it into the shop. Yellow eng light came on and it beeps at me, any ideas what it might be, where doo I start looking? Thanks Dino

I'd start by removing the DESS key and reinstalling it. They are also prone to pick up small metal shavings if you put them on a work bench or such, so look at the inside too.

I tried that and actually found that there is a red light that comes on for that DESS key, but thanks for the info! Dino

mine came on when i had the wrong altitude pipe and clutch on for less than an eighth mile

Sounds like a trouble/fault code in the ECM Dino ... unfortunately the dealers got to read it unless you have B.U.D.S software

If youre in Trout Creek, the guys at Dream Marine in Libby are stand up guys. I bought all my engine parts from them this year, and if I ever get the chance to throw down for an XP I'll be going there for sure!

check all wire connections before you take it to as dealer and spend your money mine did this just last weekend i took the airbox out to see what i could and i found the wire that runs the dpm came unpluged plugged it back in a all is good now also check the sencer on top of the airboxs befor you take it out and look real close for any lose wires i had to get a flash light before i found my problem

my TPS wiring was bad for falling apart...

I think almost every wire going to the TPS plug has been resoldered on mine, for some odd reason the wires are breaking off 1/8" above the plug and theirs nothing around them to do it...
