Engine Cuts out

Was warming up my 2013 800, went to move it and the engine cut out. Started right back up but when softly applying throttle it cuts out and throws a check engine light but no flashing code. No problem running if you really get on it. Any thoughts?

Forgot to mention first start of the season with two new gallons of non ethanol.

We just fixed our 13' pro 800 that was doing the same thing as yours. It turned out to be the little switch that's in the throttle block. I was going to replace it but while taking things apart I found that it had came unplugged in the little bag that's underneath the handle bars. Just something to checkout if you haven't.

I am having the same issue, I was blaming it on the tether switch, I disconnect the main wiring harness goin to the lites and gages and no more cutting out but I lost all my gages.Im not to sure really what to blame.

It would act up at very low throttle or just idling or if i shut it of it wouldn't start

I have a similar issue with a 2013 pro 600. Throttle block was loose and when I tried to tighten with the Allen screw the sled would idle faster on start up and then shut off. I guess that it has something to do with the throttle safety switch but haven't Taken it apart yet.
How do you fix this?

TSS bypass

Does anyone know of a good way to bypass the TSS? I had to tape the tit down mine down Monday to be able to keep the damn thing running.

Evidently a couple guys have made a jumper with correct resistor in-line, that replaces the TSS. I ordered electrical connectors and should have them today. Hopefully get a chance to test it soon. I have tried to find out more info from anyone who has done this, with no luck. Some guys claimed the newer TSS are variable, and unable to be by-passed. The TSS has two resistance ranges, open range, and closed range. (6800 Ohms). I just dont know what system electronics are looking for the open resistance range, and when...

Is Pol ever going to get this right.11 does same thing.:face-icon-small-sad

here is the spec off the TSS :
2148 OHMS = SWITCH CLOSED/LEVER REL.
6788 OHMS = SWITCH OPEN/LEVER PUSHED

This is correct resistance readings, I just can't remember if I checked continuity, to determine when the switch is open or closed. Throttle applied or not...

Either way, I get 6.8k ohms with throttle applied
Closed=continuity
Open=no continuity.
