Engine Compression in 08 Dragon 600

i thought i heard a ticking noise in the engine the other day after installing my clutch kit. so i decided to check the compression the next day, after it was all cooled down. the right side was at 110-112 and the left side was at 112-115.

i don't get it guys. i know 112-115 isn't bad but the sled only has 1500 miles. shouldn't it be at 120? i'm going to bring it up tomorrow and pull all the exhaust components off and see if there is any scoring or scratches. if i see anything really noticeable, do you think polaris would cover it? it's still under warranty until january 14th.

i have heard some things about checking oil pump cable and cable tube/housing. That they have been known to break and cause the sled to not oil properly.what do you guys think?

I think your compression is just fine. There are so many variables to the results of a compression test.
The way I have been doing them is warm up motor fully, then take both spark plugs out, install compression tester in one hole making sure it's not leaking around it, then hold throttle wide open and pulling rope as hard as I can untill the tester no longer goes up.

As far as your oil feeder cable if it breaks it will go to extreme rich not lean.

I think it also depends on the altitude because compression drops as you go up from sea level. An then most hand held testers vary widely. Do a leak down if you want to get better quality results.
