Engagment rpm for M1000?

I have an '09 M1000 everything is stock except Cutler's adjustable weights set at 83 grams (I ride 3,000- 6,000). The clutch engages at 4400 rpm which seems to high, I would like to have it engage at 3500 so that in the deep stuff I'm not trenching at take off. Also, as it engages it clunks/slams hard and I don't know why, I've made sure the weights are free moving and nothing in the primary seems to be bound up. Does this mean that I need to change my primary spring? Anyway, my questions are what is everyone elses clutch engagement rpm and has anyone else had a problem with hard engagement? Any advice would be great.
