Enclosed Trailer Question

I am looking at two enclosed trailers..... a new Interstate 19' x 8.5 steel trailer and a 2006 Legend 7 x 22 aluminum trailer. The Interstate trailer is $1,500 higher, but it is new. The Legend is a V nose, but it does not have a drop down ramp/door in the front. I have two 07 M8s, which both have reverse, and we usually take along another buddy with a sled that does not have reverse. I would prefer the aluminum Legend, but not sure about getting 3 long track sleds in.

Question: Can we fit 3 long track sleds in the Legend without the front ramp?

I hear that Legend is a good trailer and it is about 800 lbs lighter, but I'm not sure about the front door. I have a 2005 F150 with the 5.4L engine so weight of the trailer pulling in the mountains is a factor to consider.

Also, has anyone taken a V nose non front ramp trailer and put a ramp in it?

Thanks

It can be done!

They can be put in for less than 1500$ but will be alot of work. If u have the fab skills and time go for it!

i have a legend 16x7 with no front door ramp. we load one in forward, and one in backwards. it is kind of a pain but, once you get a system down it can be done in just over the time it takes to load through the door.

you will have to decide what you rather do unload by driving out, or unload while reversing out. then load them accordingly.

i have the low rider which has a hidden beavertail inside which makes the loading easier as it is not so high of an angle on the up or down ramp for the rear door.

only thing i dont like about the legend is the wiring, they use alot of scotch locks but i havent had any wiring issues so far. the interior lighting and man door grab bar light are great features.

the factory is only 20 minutes from my house and i know several people in sales, service and parts so, it was a no brainer. good luck in yoru decision, all aluminum is the only way to go, in my opinion. ski

i have a 35 ft american hauler 7ft wide i put some bunks up front with some cabinets and now have 21 ft of "garage" space and i have 4 162s back there i would go for the v nose its not that bad with three guys to ride his in first then have to drag it out....

I have a M8 162, the wife has a M8 153, and we also have a 144" Yamaha that we will take with us. It might take a little getting used to, but it sounds like they will fit.

It may not be a big deal to you, but we have heat in the trailer and like to be able to just push the sleds out w/o starting them. Having the front door is much nicer in this respect.
