Enclosed Sled Trailer Thread

Looking at Enclosed sled trailers, just curious whats out there for quality trailers, set ups, etc. I like the quality of the Wells Cargo and Charmac Trailers. Thinking 27 ft, I think you could fit 4 174's in there. Looking for some ideas for options, protective coatings, length, heat, insulated, etc, etc. Not against square front or 5th wheel trailers either. Car Hauler or not. I'd like to have a trailer with 110 lighting, generator etc. Buddy has a trailer with fold down bed/benches, real nice for dressing, relaxing etc.
Lets see pics of your rigs and what you like and dont like.

Here is a couple pictures of my enclosed (well, it will mine for a couple more days).

I would suggest windows, provides light and ventilation. I also had mine set up with 110v with florescent lighting. We would just put the generator in the trailer and when we stop, pull it out and fire it up. It's pretty sweet! Also, don't forget loading, unloading lights and electric hitch jack. The BEST thing I had added was to raise the fuel doors. Mine were 36" off the floor, MUCH easier to fuel.

I was going to make up some fold up seats, but I sold it before I had a chance.

Happy shopping. :)

I have a charmac 27ft.I think its one of the better trailers out there.4 174's would be pretty tight.I think they changed to 28ft though.I like that they sit up higher and still pulls really nice. But for my next trailer I might be going here because the new charmacs are just too much in Alberta anyways. http://www.milltrailers.com/

Sounds like my trailer , just add another 12 feet . AA you need to stay travelling in my trailer ( i will even let you pull it with your truck ) save your money to buy gas and fix the sled if needed :D:D .
We need to find a couple more guys to go in on the travelling with us???

Take a look at ATC (Aluminum Trailer Company) I was looking at Featherlite trailers and found ATC. I am extremely happy with my trailer. I ended up with a 26' car hauler V nose and it's fit and finish are second to none. It uses aluminum tubing compared to channel (featherlite) and the attention to detail is the best in the business. Not that you'd be sorry with a Featherlite or other top end trailer. They are out of indiana and they are staffed largely with Amish workers. I would definately buy another one. You wont save any money over Featherlite though. They are all expensive.

By the way, if you arent going to spring for Aluminum, ATC also makes steel frame trailers.

Good luck!
