saw Million Dollar Baby last night for the first time ever......couldnt believe it.

I kinda like emotional movies with some kind of sports theme. My top 6 are:

1.) Rocky - my favorite line is actually in Rocky III where Micky refers to Rockies dog as "an outer space monster". My favorite 2 scenes are at the beginning of Rocky II when Rocky rolls himself into the champs room and the champ admits he gave it his very best and 2 in Rocky I when Rocky tells Andrian all he wants to do is go the distance and he'll for the first time in his life like he's something.

2.) Hoosiers - favorite scene is when coach has one of the players measure the height of the hoop and the dimensions of the key and 2 when the kid says "coach goes, I go" and 3 at the end when the kid looks at coach and says "I can make it"

3.) Miracle - favorite scenes is when Herb Brooks tells Jack O'Callahan that he's keeping him on the team and 2 when he hands the list of players over on day 1 of the week long tryout and 3 when he calls one of the guys a candyass in the locker room between periods of game 1 vs. Sweden. Favorite line is during the pregame pep talk before playing the Russians...."not tonight"

4.) Radio - 2 favorite scenes is when the coach tells the team that Radio will be the manager and something to the effect "we wont have a problem with that" and 2 when he quites as football coach to spend more time with Radio.

5.) Rudy - favorie scene is when the players walk into coachs office and put thier jerseys on his desk wanting to give up thier position so Rudy can play and 2 when the maitenance guy rips Rudy a new one for wanting to quit.

6.) cant remember the title but it is the movie with Cuba Gooding and Robert DeNiro about the first black Navy deep sea diver. My favorite scene is when DeNiro is there as a witness to the hearing to reinstate Gooding as a diver and he starts yelling at him as he struggles with the diving gear.

6.) Remember the Titans - favorite scene is when Gary Bertier says "look coach, they've got Olympics" and two when the prettyboy QB knocks the chit out of the linelbacker coming in for the sack.

OK........back to work.

Ricky Bobby....the dinner table scene. "I threw grandpa's war medals in the river" .....I laughed 'til my ribs hurt! :beer;

Talladega nights has some good quotes...
"That just happened"

Wedding crashers
"We got a stage 5 clinger!"
"death, its the natural aphrodisiac"

Old school
"hi, im here for the gangbang?"

anchorman
"i wanna be on you"
"its the pleats!"

in all seriousness though
Saving Private Ryan - the ending scene at the graveyard
"Every day I think about what you said to me that day on the bridge. I tried to live my life the best that I could. I hope that was enough. I hope that, at least in your eyes, I've earned what all of you have done for me."

Really weird this came up today, the fiance and I went to Cheyenne Frontier Days this last weekend and last night we had to watch 8 seconds. That movie gets me every time, where he stands in the end and gives that wave, damn, chills up my spine even now, great movie, that guy was awesome.

I find alot of people have never watched it, and if you haven't, you need to. Dont have to be a cowboy or anything, I'm not, just go watch it. Its not based on a true story, it is a true story.

emotional = A river runs through it - and a great life movie in general.

Legends of the Falls, when Tristan asks the older brother to watch after his kids.

8 Seconds- no words spoken but at the end when Tuff keeps riding after the buzzer and then takes his hat off while riding. It mists me up every time...chit it got me just typing about it.

Tombstone- "Doc why the hell you doing this anyways?", Doc- "because wyatt earp is my friend"

John Krakauer has another good book called "Under the Banner of Heaven" It is about fundamentalist Mormons and the Mormon Religion...very good book. Into The Wild was a good movie, man he suffered at the end.
