Elliptical Machine - Precor

Anyone have any feedback on Precor Elliptical machines? I found a nice deal on a Precor 5.17 and am thinking about picking it up.

they are the best quality for the price. We have one and love it. The only real issue is finding one cheap, they are very pricey.

When we bought our treadmill, we shopped around for the brand and model we liked then found a used one. It toook about two weeks to find one we wanted and saved 2/3 off new and the unit was basically new.

We tried that with the Precor but never found a used one. We ended up buying new and it was still a good investment.

Yea, I had a nordic track elliptical but didn't like it and sold it. It wasn't the same quality as the gym machines and felt sort of cheap for $650 brand new. I try to go to the gym but that never happens. I figured if I spend the money for something good I'll use it (at least thats the plan I am going with LOL) and be happy. The one I found is 3 years old, had limited use and now is collecting dust. $1000 isn't a bad price based on what I've researched.
