Elk Hunting in WY.

I have a friend that would like to know if he would need a guide to elk hunt in WY if he is a resident of CO. I would be with a muzzle loader.

He would only need a guide if hunting in a wilderness area. Cant he get an Elk in CO. though, why come to WY?

I am sure he can get an elk anywhere, it is like sledding if different places, he has been to NM a few times, CO many times, UT twice, so he wanted to try WY. I think his last one was a 6X6 at 125 yards open sights muzzle loader.

I could guide him if he pulled a tag on our land, I think outta state is like 4%, may be more. I know we only allow 9 or so on. He might have to have preference points built up for a bull, probably just be able to do outta state general on a cow.
