electronic display help!!!!!

somehow today when i changed from red to blue light in the display or from rpm to mph i lost the ability to read my engine coolant temp. and ofcourse having a little cooling issue today as well. so other than folding up a control arm and the overheat it was a pretty decent day for the 975. some help with this would be appreciated. i have no info on the polaris display.

hold your mode switch down for 5 seconds and it will change the display from blue/red..

whats the coolant issue....do you have ice scratchers? bled the coolant system properly.

Is the digital part of the display completely blank or are you just having a problem finding the engine temp?

The MFD will display the same amount of information whether you have the dial set to mph or rpm... you jsut have to press the correct sequence of selections to find what you are looking for.

i figured out the 5 secs to switch it back and forth but the coolant temp reading is no longer there when i flip through the different readings. it has scratchers but it appears that i have a small coolant leak from a head o ring, or a wear spoton the head cover from abolt someone used to block off the lower outlet out of the overflow bottle. yet to be determined. would like to be able to monitor coolant temp again.

It has to be there somewhere....

When you start the machine and the display activates to whichever setting you have it on, what do you see when you toggle the green switch "UP" one time?

To expedite things, try this:

When you start the sled it should by default enter either RPM or MPH, whichever you have it set to. To scan every readout the main display reads, follow this sequence

Up = mode
Down = set

up - down - down - down - repeat

up - down - down - down - repeat

up - down - down - down - repeat

up - down - down - down

If I remember correctly by the time you go through that sequence 4 times you have seen every function the main MFD will display with the exception of the mileage counters and the clock function which are all viewed by pressing down-down-down-down when in RPM or MPH mode on the MFD. Engine hours will display in the lower position when in the engine temp mode on the main display.

Whichever one you leave on the MFD when you shut down the sled will be what comes up when you restart the sled AFTER you push the toggle UP 1 time.:beer;
