Has anyone here had the electrical updates done to their 08 summit xp? I brought mine to my dealer for the drive shaft update and they also updated some electrical stuff. I have no idea what these "updates" are but now my guage won't display top rpm like it use to.

Have heard people are loosing some functions after the guage reflash. I didn't take mine in. Also reach behind the chain case and bend the red/blk wire from the volt reg up off the tunnel rivet. All are rubbing.
I just had mine reflashed lost my top rpm and altimiter

During the reflash the top rpm featrure is supposed to be deleted, there were too many inaccurate readings and doo chose to delete the feature, the altimeter should still work.
The updates covered the wire by the voltage regulator, reflash, short wires going to the tail light, mostly minor stuff.
Have been having some issues during the reflash with milage being reset and e-prom failures on x-package machines some require a guage replacment at that time.

My dealer did talk about re-routing the wire for the tail light and "some other wiring stuff" He must have meant the wire behind the chain case from the Voltage regulator. I guess I can live with out the top RPM feature, especially if it's not accurate. My altimiter still works but a buddy of mine had his milage reset.
