Electrical problems

Day three of my colorado trip, my machine stopped running. It had no spark. Dealer tried hooking it to digital wrench and litterally burnt up the ecu. They couldnt figure out the problem. Took it back to the hotel and swapped the ecu, voltage regulator, rectifier, and capacitor from a 2012 and it had spark. Bringing it to the dealer later this week with that information. Any one else have any input?

sounds like you have some wires shorting out. Is this a 2011, if so i no they had electrical problems due to bad routing of the wires. Id just do some electrical checks and make sure that nothing is rubbed through anywhere. how many miles. does it run now with parts from the 2012?

Bad regulators, if run long enough, have been known to take out the ecu. That's is where I would start. If Polaris would ground the regulator to the chassis we wouldn't be having this issue.
