Electrical Power Available on Pro

How much power can you safely draw from a stock Pro's electrical system? Are there after market stators available that can provide more output? I'm looking for at least 2 amps and 24 watts. I think I'm safe but just want to make sure. Thanks

Pura... you have plenty of power available.

I would run up to a 2 amp load on the DC Acc plug/fuse as long as it was not a motor load like an oil pump or fan.

.

Perfect timing for this thread. I too was looking for dc power for adding in a power port for charging a gps and/or cellphones. Sounds like the plug by the headlight is the ticket for me.

Is this the brown/yellow wire white plug in the Velcro bag tucked in at the base of the steering column? Otherwise what is that for? I have a 13.

There is a Polaris brand 12 volt cigarette style lighter they sell that plugs in t he headlight harness on the hood.

If someone was using a lot of accessories 2 pumps and various other things would it be ok to unplug one of the headlights?

The plug im using power from, to run my a/f gauge, is located behind the instrument cluster. You have to pull it and the rubber fitting out, and find it behind there.

Can someone post a pic of that power plug?

Don't have a photo of the exact plug and location, but it's the same type as the one to your voltage regulator. Can go wrong when ypu pull the instrument and look.

It's the plug in the middle, of the hood harness.

What's a heated shield ?

Is that the aluminum shield around the exhaust to keep it warm?

Actually looking to connect the bar heaters for my daughter's ALTERNATIVE IMPACT Buddy Bars

I believe he is referring to the heated "helmet" shield.

Will you post up some pics when you install that? I need one of those for the Princess too but not using the stock bars.
