I have a problem that has me very frustrated. Last year I put an 860 kit on an Skidoo 800 that I bought used (never ran it). I could not get spark even though all tests in the manual were within specs. I replaced the MPEM with a brand new one that I had reprogrammed to work with the 860 kit. When that was done I had the temp sensor, DPM,and DESS removed.Still no spark. I then replaced the wiring harness (the motor came with a custom harness by Dave Trygstrad) with a used one. Still no spark. I replaced the stator. No spark.I put a brand new wiring harness in. Still no spark. I put the project on hold due to frustration. This year I purchased a '05 800 complete with wiring harness, Mpem, and Dess. I tested it on the bench to make sure it had spark. It did with it's MPEM as well as the 2 other MPEMs and the other wiring harnesses I now have. I now put the 860 kit on the '05 and reprogram the MPEM for it. I install the '05 motor in my Rev and presto no spark. I now make a trip to my dealer with 3 MPEM's in hand and try them on a stock sled. All 3 MPEM,s start the sled on the first pull. I head home knowing the boxes are not the problem. I plug the ,05 box into my harness and voilla it starts first pull, three times and then no spark. Another trip to the dealer to make sure I did not short out the box. The stocker starts first pull. I have ground jumpers from the chasis to the engine, to the to the main harness ground. All test are within specs. Now I will recap all the parts I have. 5 wiring harnesses (1 brand new)
3 stators (1 brand new)
2 complete motors
2 sets of trigger coils
2 skidoo ignition coils
1 Msd coil I had anyway
This will probably turn out to be some simple fix, but I am done spending money on parts just to try them.

Teather switch or safety switch? They about the only things you did not replace. That coded teather is pretty touchy.

Boy ,that's a head scratcher,we had one that was acting up and the reg was causing some grief.

MPEM has had the Dess key program removed Runs with only a kill switch which I have unplugged. I have only the essentials plugged in. Regulator, MPEM, ignition coil and the trigger coils. My MPEM needs nothing else.
