Electrical advice

I went out today and out of the blue my 2006 800 summit X gauges, headlight hand warmers etc stopped working. At the time I noticed that they were not working the engine started running very rough (bogging down, sounding like it was running too rich, 50% loss of power etc.)

Could this all be attributed to the chip in the key going bad or do I have a few different problems coincidentally happening all at once.

New plugs put in yesterday, fresh gas, fuel stabilizer last year etc.

Any advice would be very helpful.

Sounds like water in a connection. Seems like guys were having problems with snow melting and getting into the ECU plug on the 06 sleds. Didn't they move it to a different positon from the 04 and 05.
Some of them were even loosing corroded pins from the connections.

I remember some guys with the same problems you are having and they were cleaning out the electrical plugs and sealing them with dielectric grease.

When I saw their posts a couple of years ago, I got some dielectric grease and put some in all my connections and have never had an electrical issue.

06 replace your relay its bad. I think Its around the secondary clutch area. You can find them at any autoparts store. It will cause all those symptoms.
