Electric heaters in the enclosed trailer.

Wondering what people use for supplemental heat if they have power hook ups. We can always just run the propane heater but I was curious if anyone uses an electric heater as well so they dont burn so much propane?

What size of heater would you need to actually heat things up? Can it just run on 110v? How many btus?

I saw some at peavy mart 5000btu and 1500w at 110v? Must be some better ones out there?

You can get a 5000W construction heater 220V for a little over a hundred bucks.
It warms the trailer up pretty fast & most generators would run it.
It's big enough to heat the garage if needed also.

A 1500 watt milk house heater works good for me 30 minutes running and you can tear your sled apart in comfort if it runs for a couple of hours it 70 degrees in my 25 ft trailer at 10 degrees outside:plane:

Your trailer must be insulated? I use a milk house heater in my 19' non-insulated trailer and it keeps the temp about 25* warmer than the outside temp... even 40-50* is a lot nicer than working in 20-30* though... Sometimes I'll turn on the propane heater for 10 minutes to get the temp up, then just leave the electric heater going after that for work or to melt things off a lot faster if I'm in a rush to dry it all out.
