El NINO >>> OH YA !!!

2 more storms coming next 7 days.

Washington could get more than a foot of snow this week.

You go ALASKA !

Fall's arrival may have been greeted with a collective warm shrug of the shoulders in the Lower 48 states, but Alaskans have already broken out winter coats.

Officially, 6.7 inches of snow blanketed the city of Fairbanks Friday 25 SEPT, turning the city into a winter wonderland just days into fall.

Not only was this the city's first measurable snow of the season, but this was the city's third heaviest calendar-day September snow on record, topped only by Sep. 13, 1992 (7.8 inches) and Sep. 29, 1972 (7 inches).

I think previous years are EL NINO events.

IMHO there are3 phases of El Nino where moisture will come from ... Left over tropical storms till Halloween, then shifting till New Years and then full out pineapple express.

Suppose rain / snow / snail near Tahoe Thursday thru Monday on and off 1-5 OCT with snow flurries to 8500 feet.

Total H2O 1-2 inches around TAHOE
Accumulation above 9500feet for CALIFORNIA

Rubies getting an 1/2 inch moisture.

STORM OFF to ID MT WY area ( YELLOWSTONE ) to get over 2 inches moisture from this series of storms WY SD area 1.5 inches then splitting & ending in ND with under an inch of moisture other end in NB and KS getting an inch.

Suppose rain / snow / snail near Tahoe Thursday thru Monday on and off 1-5 OCT with snow flurries to 8500 feet.

Storm still tracking to same states but approaching more from the south allowing more moisture (warmer ocean water) so water estimates increasing.

Computer models forecast low pressure from up north to go further south to my county of VENTURA just north of LA and gonna stay in CALI longer bringing more cold air and picking up more moisture.

Instead of snow flurries at 8K in CA may be up to a foot SUN or Mon 3-4 oct morning for SIERRAS.

Snowing right now 10AM 1OCT between mammoth and Tahoe at very high elevations.

Rest of states as mentioned before today to get more H2O and snow accumulation at lowers elevations as earlier predicted.

Hurricane on east coast gonna dump over a foot or TWO FEET of rain in a day so expect more info about hurricane this size to hit USA in over 6 years.

Nevermid the snow for a minute. Could we just have a lil' rain here in north Idaho. This is starting to remind me of last fall where the ridge of high pressure wouldn't break down. Nice sunny days but damn it's dry!!!

I wish I could see a storm predicted for the next 7 days. :ohwell:

Snowing at 9000 - 10000 feet Sun 4 Oct at Sherman area in the Sequoias.

Main storm still off in the ocean and a low pressure system from land in Canada to come down and bring all the moisture inland and off to mostly Nevada then Arizona southern UT St George.

Las Vegas area predicted to get up to 4 inches H2O

Then its gonna get warm for the INDIAN summer ; which seems to be a month early ! :face-icon-small-win Accompanied with strong winds and lightning. :dizzy::tsk:

But a sliver will work thru dumping up to 9 inches H20 Seattle and about a 100 miles of Canadian coast.
