EI/UT riding this weekend - where to go????

picking up a trailer in Preston so i was thinking about trying a new riding area on that side of the state since i'll be over there. any areas have good snow? looking at snotel sites it looks a little thin.

My brother rode east of immigration pass 2 weeks ago and said it was pretty decent. And they got a lot more snow since.

From Preston, head North East out of town. When you get to the north end of town stay right at the intersection toward Grace/Montpelier. Follow that till you get down to the river, about 5 miles. There will be signs to head toward Montpelier right at the river. Turn right and head up Emigration Canyon. When you get to the summit there is a parking lot on the right hand side of the road. Called Copenhagen. Park there and either follow the groomed road South toward Green Basin/Paris Flats or you can go North toward Sherman Peak and the 8 mile area. Hope that helps. Should be plenty of tracks to follow. The drive to the summit will be about 30-40 min outside of Preston.

Hwy #s are 34 out of Preston North and then the 36 East.

Thanks for the info. We ended up tagging along with a few guys down in Logan. Snow was marginal but the terrain was awesome, will have to make it backdown when they have more snow.
