EGT Placement on turbo pipe?

Looking at buyin a turbo sled it has a aem air fuel gauge and a single koso egt gauge. The probe for the koso is about 3 inches down the pipe form where it connects to the y pipe, is this going to give me false readings? Should I just buy the duel setup and mount the probes in the y pipe like it says on koso's website.

I have always been a fan of the duel setup this way you now will have a egt that will tell you what each cly is doing it is very-very rare that would have a single cly give issues but always nice to know. Not saying a single will not work though.

For your setup right now if you are worried the best thing to do is to get a temp benchmark that would you know for sure what temp is right for your probe placement.

Sorry but what do you mean by temp bench mark?
