09 update, intake, SLP Y pipe and can. I had an SLP pipe want to change to stock pipe. shaved head. Koso egt gauges.

My SlP pipe is really ratty and I was hoping that I could swap for an unused stock can and be OK? should I keep SLP mapping or try stock ( 00000) on boon docker box. Never been that happy with the setup after the 2009 update.

Is the Pipe a big or little change? SLP to Stock?

Will it lean or fatten the fuel?

Any advice would be appreciated.

thanks,

I would leave it alone. If pipe is rusted, you can clean up with naval jelly. Unless it's leaking or cracked, I'd keep using it. That pipe worked very well on that sled. Has the right mods to be reliable. Also, if you shave the head, detonation becomes a real concern and you don't gain much except heat and detonation. Without pipe and current fuel set-up, you will lose about 12 HP (and will really feel it) clutching will be off, and you will run rich and likely get rich bogging in powder conditions. I had that sled, motor for 6 years...it is decently tough to find the right tune of not rich bogging in powder and not being too lean out of the powder.

I'd leave it alone.
