Edmonton Sled Show

Hey Guys,

We are considering going to the sled show in Edmonton this year for the first time, just looking for some feedback on the show. We are particularly interested in feedback from other vendors, but visitor feedback will also be welcomed.

It is a long drive from Toronto to Edmonton.

Thanks

Brian

Went last year for the first time. It's a good show, but could really use a swap meet to go to the next level. We will be going this year to buy more stuff.

I was a vendor at the show for over half dozen years. In the same field as what you guys are doing now. The biggest pitfalls to the show are if the Oilers are playing. Absolutely dead if they are, which usually happens at least once during the weekend.

Make sure you are upstairs in the main area. Across from the beer gardens was always the winning booth location for us.

When it came down to it, any show is about getting your name out there. Money made is usually just a breaking even point. I'm 12hrs away. You are triple that I'm guessing.

I don't want you to be scared of coming out west, but for myself, instead of going to the Toronto show, I sent a bunch of product and made sure my product was on various sleds within the show(it was my strategy when I WAS at the shows too) so everyone saw it.

Good luck! I'm never in the Country nowadays to get to go, been 5 years now. That was always a favorite weekend of mine!

Unless you have a "mountain specific" product it may not be worth it for you.
Best mountain show north and south of the border........IMO ;)
20,000++ attendees

Cheers

randy, you be in seattle or edmonton this year?

Killer show, great attendance, and a ton of oil money floating around. We got kicked out of the show though because the managing company is also ran and operated by a dealer that tries to have a monopoly up their on brands. Understanding we are from the states, there were also other Canadian companies who were not allowed to retail brands this said company carried. It is what it is, we still ship tons and tons of gear into their area. But know ahead of time if you carry said brands that this other dealer carries, you will not be aloud to retail them.

Thanks for all of the info on the show. We have booked a booth at the Edmonton show, but unfortunately we will not have any products on hand to sell at the show. We will have samples of all of our products on hand for you guys to check out, and all orders placed at the show will be shipped to your door free of charge.

If the show is as good as we have heard, we are going to plan on attending again next year with product on hand.

Please stop by if you are going and say hello.

I am not attending that show but as a snowmobiler I WANT products available to buy.
Money in hand and nothing to take home not a happy snow show goer.
Last year at a show I had cash in hand, no product and told pay now and we will ship.
Sorry that does not work for me, everyone has free shipping these days.

While deposits did work out for us, to an extent, we sold product hand over fist when it was available.

Trust me guys, we would love to be able to bring our products to have on-hand to sell, but we could not work it out logistically this year. For us to bring product we have to drive it there from Toronto, and we have the Toronto show the next weekend.

Next year we will book in advance and plan it into our schedules so we can do the show properly.
