Edge Chassis SLP Flow-Rite on clutch housing

Thinking about putting a SLP flow-rite on the clutch housing on my 2002 800 RMK. It will go in the area where the shock is on the left side. Accompanying this will be the large mesh vent on the side of the belly pan, directly to the side of the clutch. It will be one 2" Flow-Rite vent.

Give me your input please, and past experiences with this.

Put them in all edges. I put mine out board of where you have pointed, inline with the clutch towers, not the belt. If you blow a belt and its inline they tend to get knocked out.

I had one in mine. Then a tree branch knocked it out. I ducted taped over the hole for the rest of the day. It has now been 2 and a half years since I taped over the hole. The tape is still there. Don't notice the clutches being any hotter than when I had it in. I do also have one on the side of the belly pan near the 2ndary.

thanks

Sorry, i cant tell you where i got the sway bars, i stole the pic of the web.

but thanks for all the input. I think they only make the plastic flowrites anymore, i just got what tri city gave me.

i wouldnt. just doesnt seem like any need for that much venting on an edge, unless sometings messed up.
i would remove some of the hood foam and drill out that fake lower vent in the dash trim instead. (if you already havent)

I would not install one of the plastic ones. If you can't find the grommet style I would just leave it. At least me personally i have not had good luck with the plastic ones. I do not think they would hold up near the shock tower

i ordered two, goin put one on each side. My sled was gettin hot running wide open in feet of powder last weekend. I ordered the plastic ones and figured i would put some sillycone around it to help hold it in.
got to help

There you go. ^^^^^^^^^^ I did this at the beginning of last season and things are still fine. I used the black RTV, cleaned up the squeeze, looks nice and no rattle.

got mine today, installed them. The plastic pop in ones says not to use in Belly pan. would you think they would tell you that before you order. anyways installed and used sillycone. Dont think ill have a problem with them fallin out.

just duct tape them things over when (if) you water skip it.
ive noticed that water will get trough the slp vents

The belly pan flexes. SLP recommends the grommet style for this application as the rubber lip has some give to it. The plastic snap in style is more for the hoods to the intake as there is less flex. Hopefully the RVT works.
