Edge chaincase into GenII

Can I use the Gen II driveshaft or do I need an Edge driveshaft?

You will have to take a look at both drive axles, check for width, diameter and how the "pto" side bearings mount up, etc. The "pitch" should be the same as with the driver spacings. As an interesting side note, the drive axle in my 09 550IQ looks to be the same thing as the drive axle that was in my 550 Gen II sled built 9 years earlier. Just take a look at both, then you will know what to do.

You can use your gen 2 shaft . I have a drop & rolled gen 2 case on my 97 mod with an 02 edge drive shaft in it it works great so put er in and go .

yea i got that. im saying you can use the gen 2 shaft in your sled with the edge chain case it will work great. the edge shaft is actualy 1/4" shorter than the gen 2 shaft so it takes a little thought to use it in a gen 2 chassy.
