Edge aftemarket hood questions

Got a Mountain fit hood and putting it on an edge. Curious to see what all you other guys did with the airbox configuration and headlights... Do not wanna run the stock headlight, have a couple small 2" led lights I wanna run.
I was running the SLP air horn on the old hood, not sure if it's possible to use the stock hood airbox plenum in the aftermarket hood? Any suggestions or opinions would be awesome. Thanks guys

You for sure want to run the airbox and plenum setup to pull fresh air from outside the hood. It won't run right if you don't. The one I did I just put the SLP air horn on the bottom of the hood and cut a 4" flow rite in to the hood above it.

Also, you want to be careful with the LED lights... they don't draw much juice and the Edges will blow the voltage regulator if you don't have enough load on them, pretty common when running without a headlight. Not sure if the LEDs will draw enough. You might want to put another handlebar heater on the steering column to provide some load just in case.

Definitely was gonna run the air biz plenum and cut some flow rites into where the stock gauges mount in. Also I'm vented in front where the stock headlight would originally go. So fresh air should be good. As for the led headlights, they draw about 11w a Piece. And I'll have two of them. So 22 watts. Wonder if that will be enough draw? Also have the RSI hi heat grip heaters on it. Also it has a led taillight and will be running a Koso dual egt/rpm water temp gauge.

If I don't draw enough, I wonder if I can put a resistor in take up some of non draw I'm not using switching to leds...

I like Sled_Guys approach of using a bar heater to soak off extra juice. I would wonder if you could use an "ON-ON" switch for the bar heaters on one side and the spare on the other. There will be times you won't want your heaters on but will still need a way to drain off the juice.

A resistor would work, figure out how much you need and put on in.

My solution is pretty low tech. Just stick the bar heater to the steering post down by the air box and wire it in permanent. It runs all the time, but I don't care.
