I have a 02 xcsp chassis with a 92 650 rxl engine/carbs(running older(84) polaris triple ignition) Problem is not enough lighting output, sent stator to Ricky Stator(said cant get much more power out of it) can I run ultra stator? I read somewhere the ultra stator put out 280w. I ran the older stator because I could not get the ignition from fuel inj engine to produce spark.

It's been a few years since I had those 2 motors apart, but if memory serves the stator plate is a different size on the 600/650 than on the Ultra. You might be able to put the Ultra lighting coils themselves on the 650 stator plate though.

What are you running that is sucking up all the juice? The old 650 had plenty of power output for lights and bar heaters. Have you checked to make sure you don't have ground or regulator problem?

I had crank trouble with a 600, pick up a low mile '92 650rxl/minus the fuel injection. I carbed it, and couldnt get spark from the 650, so i put the coils from 600 on 650 stator plate(600 was smaller) and used the 600 cdi (with 650 flywheel, timing was different on 600)everything just plugged into the new chassis(to my suprise) performance is fine but I had to unplug one of the headlight bulbs when we rode! it was a little dim to start and when I put the brake on, or hit high beams lights would dimm almost completely, unplug 1 headlight and all was good(just like on my wedge chassis) As far as what im runnin' just the lights +helmet shield, no hand/thumb warmers! oh and a borg warner tach(but I cant see it using any more power than the polaris, in fact it wasnt on when I rode)
