ECU problems

I was just wondering if anyone has had a problem with their ECU? Especially with their 07 800R's? I have a stock 07 800R which for two months last season ran flawlessly. On a trip to Stewart I had a problem where my ECU would not recognize my tether key (like it was not properly attached). Apparently the problem was I had gotten some moisture in my ECU (Which was a later update from Doo). Ever since then I have had a problem with my sled. It will not pull it's full RPM's and recently it would have a terrible bog most noticeably on flat ground. I have received all the necessary clutch updates and it has just gotten a new short block put in as my crank bearings were toast. The only mods I have is a SLP can (which is now removed and have yet to try it again stock) and a 20 tooth upper sprocket. My dealer cannot find anything that is obviously wrong with this sled. I have a ECU from a buddies sled with the matching tether, but I cannot try it until later this week or this coming weekend. Any inputs would be appreciated.

One thing you may want to look at might be the ECU connector for corrosion. I run into this problem quite often in the automotive field once water intrusion has entered the connector. Try to clean it with some kind of penatrant like PB Blaster, blow it with compressed air and then coat it with dialectric grease. Sometimes a drill bit (.040 common) can help clean each terminal if there's heavy corrosion. I've been amazed at how little corrosion can cause hassles and is frequently overlooked. This is just an idea. Good luck.
