HM 6Place w/SnoCaps Cover
HM (Home Made) started with 30' old camper frame. Rebuilt axles / electric brakes. Relocated rear axle back 2' to make the rear of the trailer better supported, also helps take the sway out of the trailer on the road. One thing that that just kinda happened is that the tire track/width is the same as a normal truck / SUV, not a big deal until you pull a trailer across North Dakota in 4" of snow with it wanting to pull you either in the ditch or across the other lane. Redid hitch, made it so it can extend & retract, did this so it can be pulled with a number of different trucks / SUVs, even a short box with a 8' sled deck in it. Made wheel wells over the 15" tire & rims, can pull at 80+ without a worry of exploding a tire. 5/8 plywood floor. Added 2' V nose for drive off. (Although I don't like to open the front when it is covered with road crap/slush just ask the guys on the last ride about the freak out session one morning in Big Sky, LOL, in the end all was well.) Discount Ramps ramp track front & rear. Stainless Steel sides. LED lighting inside & out. SnoCaps Cover w/ Bump outs for the Long Trackers . Long & Low, cuts through the wind & pulls like a dream. Without showing my check book I have about half of what you can buy a used 6 place with a cover in it. We just took 6 sleds from Central Wisconsin to Big Sky, MT with no problems. It's a bit of a challenge to get the 6th sled in it with the wheel wells but with 18-19 hours one way you make it work. I guess I'm kinda proud, made something out of nothing, Just thought some of you would want to see it.
