EBC getting wet

Yep, go to Boondockers web page. They have a form for you to return it and get it get filled so it won't happen. The one we mailed back to them was back in a week from the day we mailed it.

I would assume so.

My updated box should be here any day. You would think BD would have made them waterproof from day one, LOL. There are WAY too many aftermarket electronics issues related to moisture.

They tested them under running water and by submerging them in water and they didn't leak. The issue seems to be condensation forming on the inside of the extruded aluminum from the temperature extremes.

The gel is the same gel they put in the fuel controller, probably should have just gone that way from the beginning. Another lesson learned!

I wonder if a guy could buy that gel and put it in there himself instead of waiting for them to do it.Being in BC,it could take a while for it to get back to me.

Shoot Safety Bob a pm on here and see if she can help you out. You might be able to work something out with her.

talked to BD usa today and they said that they have a reflash for the EBC as well as the gel.I guess I will send it down there next week.Wonder if they will overnight it back to me?
With the way our weather is this year I don't want to miss out on any weekends.

So what is the new flash going to do that it does not already do?

that is a very good question. All it is for me is an expensive boost guage! I would rather go with a regular boost guage, a dial, and a transducer. Cant run any less than 6 lbs anyways, and the EBC boost is always set at zero,so it isn't doing much

Steevo that has been my position since the EBC came out. I've been running a boost tee and old style transducer and it just works. Everyone keeps telling me the EBC spools up faster and its better, so I am going to give it a shot next trip out. I am skeptical since no one has explained why it spools up faster (other than marketing BS) and the physics of how it works dosen't add up to "better" to me. I guess we will see.........

I can't see how it will spool up any faster,or at least that we will notice. With mine set at zero,it is all about the spring pressure in the actuator anyways.I guess the EBC is good for the push to pass though.I tried that out last weekend, and it did work. But at 6lbs,the 1000 goes pretty good without adding anymore.

Ebc

Hey Guys, I started the first of the season with the ada. I almost did not install my ebc, after reading all the posts. But after several rides with ebc I am happy I went ahead and installed.

I really like the hp of the turbo sled, but my miles per gallon is a little scary. Not because of the cost of fuel. I wondering if I turned my boost down, (running 7.5lbs. now and push to pass at 9 lbs) to 3 or 4 lbs and keep my push to pass at 9. May not help my mileage, but if it does. This would make the ebc worth while.

Carrying an extra 5 gals just to make our loops kinda sucks. What do you guys think?

I know the numbers are way fat, so that would effect your mileage in a negative fashion. Mine seems fine on fuel. What numbers are you running?

Mine uses less fuel now!
I only have to hit each hill once now and wait to get my heart rate down after each poke, instead of hitting each hill ten times to get over.lol
