easy remove hood panel

so we started tearing apart a brand new pro in the garage today. was looking at how the hood comes off...remember on a rev chassis, the hood would hinge open from the nose, so you had pipe access or helmet warm spot or for me, cooker access... Anybody done some sort of removable panel....say where the top hood vents go, so you could open up that area without taking off the hood?

You'll have to figure this out on your own Blair. Honestly, it's not an issue to me. I'll warm my helmet on the "dash" and search the Pro forum for a muffpot mount that attaches at the pipe/silencer joint.

Hood Removes fairly easy, 2 torx bolts near the steering colom(tool to remove is in your tool kit, on the end of the spark plug socket) then 2 push darts, disconnect the Wiring harness, and raise the hood, and unclip from the front of sled. http://www.youtube.com/user/PolarisIndUS#p/u/62/8YfuYXsRgEY

2COOL Vents HAS New hOOD VENTS, THE TOP POPS IN AND OUT,
It make it easy to get to your muff pot or your glove bag.
have not seen hood hinges.

Yes, Too Cool. Saw thier new vents at the WSSA show, looked pretty handy. Should really make muffpot/glove bag access very easy. I ordered a set at the show, will post up pics when I get 'em, not sure when that will be . . . . . Tammy?

didnt want to have to whip out the tool bag everytime.
i'll check the 2 cool vents.

That is an excellent idea, there is nothing like a nice warm helmet after you have been sitting for a bit. Not sure that just sitting your helmet over the hood will do much. Access to the pipe area would be a plus for sure.
