Just got back from some great spring time riding in Cooke City, you are missing out on a ton of snow!

Took my 10 year old out for the first time and he did great on a m7 162" sled. It was a great time showing him the ropes and look forward to seeing him progress.

We also put on a Push turbo on Nitro and it was a true plug and play, not one issue!

Enjoy

Nice! We were out the week before. Man was there a lot of snow still. Cooke is an amazing place! Thanks for sharing the pics.

Nice pictures.
That is a lot of snow.
I wish when I was 10 there were sleds like that to ride.
He makes that sled look big or vise versa.

Good job with the protective gear on your son. I have a 9 yo and a 10 yo and I do the same. I have them wear their chest protectors on the outside of their coats.

I always wear a beacon on the outside of the chest protector and then coat.

I have always wore helmets and protective gear on everything from bikes to sleds so why not start him off right.

check these pictures out.

Oh man, looks like I missed a good ride with you. Tried to call, to tell you that Stevey was put in hospital a week ago and we never got off the launch pad. May go yet, maybe have to do a solo run.

We were out there too :face-icon-small-coo

Question: approximately how big is your kid? I have a nine year old that's itching to get out too...

He is maybe 65lbs and probably 50 inches tall. He has been riding a dirt bike by since 4 years old and I bought him a polaris 200 phenoex around then too. He also has got a 91 Jag 340 for back here on the flat lands for a few years too.

As far as I'm concerned take him let him try his own sled and take him 2 up with you a few times and talk about throttle control and counter steer and how to stay on the up hill side of the sled before letting him attack hills by himself.

If they crash and burn a bit, make them ride it back! That is what I had to do when I learned how to ride things and that is what I have made him do....

Cool. Mine's around 70lbs. Don't know the height. Rides a '97 ZL440 on the trails around here. I was thinking 12 yrs old would be the right age, but your feedback is making me rethink that. It will definitely be a learning experience. Thanks!

Ya he rode my f-5 pretty much the whole year this year too.

I always felt its never to early to start them!

Good luck with you kids.

007:

I have a 12 year old boy who is coming out with us next year to Idaho. He is finally big enough and is on his third sled (Started out on a Bravo 250, then an exciter 570, and now a 02' Summit 700)

Great to see pictures you and your boy. I can't wait to post some pictures of my little guy...........
