Easiest way to drain the cooling system?

Flushing coolant out and replacing with engine ice. Where is the easiest place to drain from? Did it from front of the case but it was a bitch to get the clamp back on as Polaris did not leave enough room as the clamp hits the case. Need to empty out the fluids I used to flush and don't. Want to deal with that clamp again.

I have always drained from the water pump... right straight down from the Y pipe... easy to get to if take out exhaust... or wiggle ur hands in there...

That's we're I did it. Always do it there on my sleds but there is no room and getting the clamp on was a bitch.

The easy way!!!

I never reuse the coolant, so pull the hose off at the thermostat housing and suck it dry with the Shop Vac. No mess no fuse no clean up easy to get to. Helps a bit to take the top of the coolant bottle off and cover with hand to control the suction / airflow to get every last drop.

Hope this helps.

My .02 cents.

Never reuse it. I might try that.

coolant

the esiest and fastest way with no mess and it gets all the water out. the small hose going into the coolant bottle on the exhaust side take it off and extend it a couple feet i use some hose and a barbed fitting to connect them together and put the hose in the jug and then an air blower and pressureize the cooling system threw in the open fitting on the bottle and it will drain it fast and no mess to clean, just a little pressure and it comes right out use a gallon jug it should pretty much fill it up

so you use a compressor and the small blower on the bottle? could i use the shop vac on the resi bottle?

Just drained two this weekend with the shop vac, works great. I always remove the filter from the shop vac, Sure cuts down on the mess. Pat
