Subject: 2015 Early-Build PRO-RMK Terrain Dominator / 800 Switchback Assault Fuel Pump Vapor Separator Replacement
Purpose:
Polaris Industries Inc. has determined that the fuel pump vapor separator used on certain early-build 2015 800 PRO-RMK Terrain Dominator and 800 Switchback Assault snowmobiles were manufactured incorrectly and must be replaced. The filter element epoxy inside the separator may obstruct the vent port “duck bill” which may cause a build-up of air inside the canister. Without a properly operating fuel filter vent, aerated fuel will be supplied to the engine affecting fuel pressure and subsequently cause running quality issues and potential engine damage over time.
To resolve this concern, Polaris has developed a Vapor Separator Replacement Kit, part number 2205785. Please order and install one kit on each affected snowmobile in your inventory or customer vehicle.
