I received the E9 code more often today. The engine was stumbling at idle after long pulls. It seemed like it was loosing power. The dash lights would go out. I would let it cool off and it ran fine until it got hot again.
Try turning hand warmers off , if it still does it check the power and grounds going to the afr gauge if all good .. then I would lean towards voltage reg.
Mine does the same thing. I blip the throttle then it all comes back on, then will return to that after a few seconds. Been living with it so far but would like to know the fix if someone has figured this out.
What year are your guys' sleds? Mine is a 2011. From what I can tell the 11s and 12s had a dc regulator. (On the clutch cover by the oil tank) However the 13s and 14s did not have this regulator, according to the parts diagrams.
All the years have an ac/dc regulator (mounted on the cross-shaft above the pipe)
Im guessing the regulator possibly needing replacing is the DC one...
