E3 Spark Plugs

So I was watching Stacey David on Gears, he is always saying how good these E3 plugs are. Has anyone tried these on an 800 ho yet, I picked up a set to put in my 925 but i thought i would see if anyone has tried them first. The design of the plugs looks interesting so I hope they work good.

My experience with trying other plugs besides what is OEM specified is not very good, these new EFI sleds are programed around the OEM plug and dont run very well with anything else

OEM seems to work pretty well.....I haven't changed a plug in many many years:yo:

They will actually increase your performance, because your wallet will be a lot lighter, which in turn makes the power to weight ratio respond favorably!:face-icon-small-win

i remember running a set of e3 plugs in my M7. within 100 miles the plugs electrode (the metal part sticking out that recieves spark) melted off and im sure passed through my motor somehow. i would not recommend these plugs

well it doesnt sound good for these plugs then. With stock plugs i havent changed any in years either.

Well I tried the E3 plugs today, I was surprised to find out that they raised my egt's by 50deg F and it also gave a bit of a hesitation in the midrange, probably was to lean with the higher temps.

If I was on gears I would push anything they told me to also.

Remember the 4 prong bosch plugs, they melt to.

If your egts raised did you change your plugs to see the difference, I've seen bigger egt jumps from day to day with no changes. You have to run one right after the other in order to know the difference.

My old uncle bob, hot rod mechanic for ford for 35 years, said that there's nothing better than an oem plug. The new split fire/ e3 plugs. Will put holes in your pistons and do more harm than good. Speaking from a 200 horse 22r yota 4 banger that saw no diff from stock plugs to e3s. Just sayin

Yes I ran them both back to back and the E3 plugs ran hotter.

:second: dunatyk: I like the Iridium plugs too, they definately improved runnability in my 08 and 09 Dragon 800's. If they can do that, they must be good! Never had a need to run them in my Cats though.
