E10 gas??

Apox 2 gallons of E10 gas was accidentally added to my Pro RMK.

The rest of the tank was non-ethanol (8-9 gallons).

The sled was not started after the addition of E10.

Should I just drain the entire tank?

Or do I need to take further precautions and change the plugs and filter.

Thanks

All kidding aside, change your fuel mode to the Ethanol setting and ride it. Once you use most of that tank, fill with non-eth and change the fuel mode back to non-eth. There are instructions to change the fuel mode on the inside of the left side panel or you can look it up in the owners manual.

What he said. ^^^^^
Look at it this way. Do the math. You have a total of 11 gallons of fuel. Two of those gallons have 10% ethanol.
11 gallons= 1408 oz.
10% of 2 gallons= 25.6 oz. So you now have 25.6 ounces of ethanol in the tank.
25.6/1408= .01818182%.
So now you have .08181812% ethanol, or 8/10ths of 1%. Not 10%.
Good post! Thanks to spell check I can now spell ethanol. :eyebrows:

People worry WAYYY too much about burning gas with ethanol in these sleds. Its not that big of a deal if you use the right setting on it.

I Snow Checked my 2014 800 PRO RMK. When I picked it up the dealer, they had put 5 gallons of premix in the tank like they are suppose to. On the way home and not paying attention I filled it up with 91 octane with 10% ethanol. Well now after a 1000+ miles, me and my sled are doing quite well. :face-icon-small-coo

Not real sure why some are so scared of ethanol?

I'm sure many on this forum would rub their dink on a gay bar urinal before they would put ethanol in their sled.

Agree that it doesn't make any dfference but to correct the math post above it is actually 1.8% ethanol left based on an 11 gallon tank. 25.6/1,408x100=1.8%.
Yeah you are correct. Too much beer and not enough sleep. Dfferance? :face-icon-small-hap

I don't worry about Eth in my gas since I premix around 100:1. Gives you a little piece of mind that way.
