Durango area rides

Moved to Farmington NM this year, and I'm looking for some people to ride with. My sled is coming down later this month. Should be ready for riding by Christmas, and anytime after!

I found a few older threads (2009) but nothing recent.

I'm a fairly good rider looking to tag along with some "locals" a few times to learn the area, and looking for riding partners in general. I'll update this thread if I plan to go, and encourage others to do the same if you don't mind some company!!

Hi Chris. I live in Rio Rancho, just north or Albuquerque. We ride Chama area a lot. Either just south of Co or just north, depending on how good you are and what terrain your looking for.
I prefer to ride south, as I like the big open meadows.

The San Juan Sledders website has a good list and description of the trails around Montezuma and La Plata County. I live in Bayfield and ride those trails and Wolf Creek a fair amount. I'm always up for going snowmobiling, but the problem we have right now is that there is no snow anywhere close by. I can usually ride about 10 minutes from my house. PM me and I can give you my number. Looking for new people to ride with, cause my normal riding partner is having his 1st kid this month and won't be riding much this year.

Cool! I didn't realize there was a local club!! I'll keep watch of their website, and get you some info when I can. I'm considering buying a four wheeler, since we don't seem to get much snow anymore...

Hi Chris I'm from Farmington too I'd be happy to show you around if it ever snows! There are lots of riders in town so you shouldn't have any trouble fining people to ride with . Maybe PM me your # and we can get together.
