dumb long track ?

So how much more of the track will really see the ground when you long track a sled? Extending from 121" I got a 08 polaris 600rr that I'm going to extend. not sure if I should go 136" or 144" this will be a true (unfortunetly) crossover sled. Should be really close to 60/40 on and off trail riding.

You'll get roughly half the extra length on the ground. So if you are 121 now and go 136 that would make for about 7.5" more on the ground. For what your describing for usage I'd go with a 144. Seems to be the most useful length for all conditions. Short enough you can rail the trail, and long enough that deep snow won't leave you stuck in a rut.

Check tracksusa out, I believe they have a 144 tip up rail system for those sleds. You get the deep snow advantage of a 144 but the better trail handling of the 136.

I long tracked my Edge 800 mod to a 136 with a Tracks USA kit and it went together perfect, no problems and I used to hit the odd frozen up motocross track with the extensions on, no bending and I was doing doubles...

144, fine on the trail...... and MUCH better in the deep snow, i ride about 25 miles of trail to get to and from our good riding, and the 144 aint bad at ALL riding that much trail, but still enough track to have fun in the steep and deep.

my first 3 sled were all 136, this year i bought a 144 i hav enly riden it once for about 25 or 30 miles of ditch ridding and man i wont go back i love the 144. Thats what i would go with and thats my .02

my last 2 sleds have been 144" and I really couldnt tell the difference from them and the 136" renegade I had. I think tracks usa even has a tipped up rail extensions for this sled. I will have to call them and double check. Now anyone got a 144" 1.5" or 1.75" track for sale?

Keep it a shortie, anybody can do it with a long track it s just point and shoot. I rode yesterday and everybody gave me grief in the parking lot for having a 121 2 inch and then in the hills when I went everywhere they were going they all said maybe I should go short. It is alot more fun to ride.
