I was at the Duluth Hill Drags for a while today,and was asked to do a little filming for one of the racers.High Time was in lane one Big John's sled was in lane two, the flager drops the flag and there off. Owen must have got a jump at the start,because when Big John's Ski/Doo passed him it ripped Owen off his sled ,and rolled up the hill to a stop! Filming it I thought someone lost their helmit as it rolled by,but no Owen was still in it! Glad your OK Owen!!! I'll ask John to tell his driver to pass you a little slower next time being Cats don't like turbulints ! LOL

Owen took first in sport OPEN... (I helped him at the line)....and SHR took a 3 rd in SEMI-PRO open with a SHR860 REV...first was a 440 POO mod sled with a 995 twin and second I think was a Fastlane mod M7 (188 hp 800 in a 415 lb sled)...we DQ'd in the SEMI-PRO 900 'cuz the Fastlane guys (2 800 mods) jumped the flagman and Scott (my 200 lb driver, bigger than most) hit the throttle on "reflex" since the 2 cats jumped...all 3 were DQ'd...kinda suxs but thats racing...

AS for Owen falling off...guess the DOO pulling his decals off wasnt enough...-BJ

FYI- NO spyder monkeys here...HONESTLY I NEVER had one...I weigh 280 lbs in my B-day suit....and would love to race...BUT when I pay over 200 bucks to race and guys from Fastlane (Eric is a spyder monkey IMHO-LOL) are in my class... its far from a fair race...why would/should I give a 100 lb advantage (just in rider weight) to my competitors?? ..hence the lighter drivers for SHR...

I don't think I could have beat you. I do wish I hadn't fallen off, but most of the chicks in the bar knew who I was after that....Who knows maybe I could have won, but I think it's ok not to know. To win the next round and then the final in Sport open is soooooo sweet.
My hats off to all ''real'' hill draggers. I don't have any right to show up and win one with a daily ridder.

I honestly thought he crashed on purpose....A) to get the chicks and B) to not get a ration of crap from me...LOL

My customers daily rider (2007 REV Summit 151 with a SHR860R) trailered plenty of race sleds...I hate when that happens-BJ

I thought you were a bit more fussy.
I would like to see my sled go with 50 lbs less in such a short run.
I also would like some clutching lessons. It's a whole different show than mountain climbing. I just barely won with what I know is a lot of engine. The devil's in the details. Next year I'll just come and watch.
