Dubois/Togwotee/CDST Update ???

:eek:Which trails take you to the best powder on the CDST? Better conditions north or south? How is the snow around Union Pass?

Rode Union Pass yesterday and it was far from a good time. 30 - 40 mph winds made visibility tough. Several days of wind have blown the tops pretty thin and where there was snow it was wind blown hard pack. They have not plowed the parking lot south of the line shack so you can't get into it. The road up is getting marginal as well. The forcast is much of the same thru the week. We are going to TRY to ride Togwotee today but here in town the wind is quite stronger than yesterday and blowing pieces off of the hotel
A tough day of riding still beats a good day at work.

Best Snow In Years!

Spent the last 4 days riding the CDST. Has to be the best snow I have seen since the late 90's up there. We rode the east side mainly, Brooks Lake to Moccasin Basin Area. Yes the wind was blowing but the Powder was Deep. Get off the top of the mountain and in the trees and it is awesome. Check the pics!

Just returned from the Crooked Creek\Line shak area. Snow was up to my neck if I was a 4' tall Midget. Got a chance to spend some time on a 08 Polaris 700 RMK (think I am going to ask it to marry me). I think all you snowmobilers should probably stay away from the area so I can have it to myself.:face-icon-small-ton
