Just got back from staying at a cabin in the Crooked Creek Subdivision. Snow is marginal at the resorts. But once you get up high, it was awesome fresh powder. We found a lot of spots where the fresh powder was 2 - 3+ feet. The cabin is a rental named Westview. The owner, Jim, is a great guy. I think there are openings. You can see it at www.vrbo.com/42587. I highly recommend it. They treated me and my son extremely well.
I did note that as of last Monday, the ride from Pinedale up to the Strawberry warming hut area was very short of snow.
"The Place" located north of Pinedale on the CD trail is closed. I went by it last Monday and it was all locked up. A local resident said it will be that way all winter. So, if anyone rides down that way from the Line Shack/Crooked creek area, there is no gas available, which will limit your playing time.
looks like you guys found some good stuff, we had to hunt a while, but found some decent powder as well. We got pretty lucky, every sled came back in one piece and we never hit any stumps or rocks.
